The EIM (SA) accreditation courses are aimed at increasing knowledge of Health Care Providers and Health and Fitness Professionals re exercise assessment and prescription across the spectrum of the inactive, low-risk individual to the high-risk individual with Non-Communicable Diseases of Life-style. The EIM SA accreditation aims to set a platform and knowledge base for trusted inter-referral among and between Health Care Providers and Health and Fitness Professionals.
The course will
- Provide professionals with an overview of content related to the EIM (SA) accreditation certificate exam.
- Provide professionals with practical applications and tools to prescribe exercise for asymptomatic clients and to manage clients and groups with chronic illness that have been cleared by medical doctor for independent exercise.
- Provide professionals with behaviour modification strategies.
- To prepare professionals with resources and knowledge related to interactions and relationships with the Health Care Provider (HCP) (doctor, biokineticist, nurse and physiotherapist).
